Part Time Nomads can come and stay in our luxury 5m bell tent situated on its own paddock half a mile from the nearest road. Enjoy your own private slice of the Cotswolds where you’ll be only guests on site.

Under canvas you’ll find a comfy big bed, wood burning stove, chairs and some cool rugs (dog not included, but you can bring your own).

Adjacent to the tent is a cabin with a kitchen, hot shower and arty compost privy.

The tent is close to the Cotswold Way and many others walks. Cook for yourself or wander through the fields and woods to the community pub in Hillesley.

The Setting

Our comfortable exclusive camping, near to Badminton in the Cotswolds is only a couple of hours from London or 40 minutes from Bristol / Bath. It’s designed for those who seek the peace and tranquillity of camping without being surrounded by other people. And it is hassle free – walk in, walk out with no set up or packing up camping gear. The biggest luxury here is that it’s exclusively yours for your stay with space and solitude.

Part Time Nomad is an ideal retreat for lone campers or couples, writers, meditators, artists, hikers and anyone wanting privacy and easy comfortable camping. Our unique offer is that you will have no other campers around you and that apart from the skylarks and other songbirds there will be peace and quiet. If you are up at dawn or around at dusk you may well see deer, badgers and hares all of which are regular visitors to our paddocks and the surrounding fields. You could encounter the occasional dog walker on the footpath but pick your time of day and you can walk for hours without seeing a soul. You can walk for miles including onto the Cotswold Way and the Macmillan Way long distance footpaths.

If on the other hand you want some outings there are many beautiful Cotswold houses and gardens including Highgrove and Badminton close by and Georgian Bath is 40 minutes by car. Westonbirt Arboretum is only 7 miles down the road.

The site is up a track with no passing traffic, in fact you will be half a mile from the nearest road, yet you can drive all the way, park in safety, store your bikes in our log store, or get a bus to the nearest village and take a 15 minute walk back up through the woods.

On a clear night the stars are bright and when the moon is up you will be bathed in moonlight clear enough to go for a walk! There is no light pollution up here on the Cotswold plateau and we often see shooting stars.

Part Time Nomad is located between Hillesley and Hawkesbury Upton

Your spacious bell tent is sited in a wildflower meadow, shielded on one side by a tall dense hedge of native trees and shrubs, with views across the fields and to the Somerset Monument. There’s oodles of space for you to lounge by the wood-burner, do your morning yoga or gaze across the fields pretending to read a book.
